A case to give due applause to the PM Kevin Rudd

While I have recently been critical on the PM on a number of issues, this announcement by him should be welcomed as a positive move to a rational and common sense approach to this big and challenging issue. There were significant flaws with the former proposal and this will allow them to be mitigated, if not completely remedied. I commend him on this.
